Who is Gondol?

Greetings, fellow surfer! -- Interested in networking or catching up after a few years? :-))

Hi, my name is Jan (pronounced "yahn"), 30+ years old (born in 1978) from Slovakia, central Europe. I love information research: my Ph.D. in Library and Information Science is from the Comenius University in Bratislava, capital of Slovakia and I have a bunch of other credentials as well.

I really enjoy connecting the dots and reading loads of materials from many different fields (IT, neuroscience, physics, business, you name it). My academic work and consulting has been related to the Web, communication and Google technologies. Little publication activity since 2009 though: I have been focused on new activities but do hope to get back to writing soon.
